1)Beyond the Sea
The beach brings me a sense of peace it always has. The feeling of calmness brings humans a sense of security and understanding. Many of us love the beach. It may give us moments in life we won’t forget. Like the beach humans are alike we may be calm like the middle of the ocean or on the shore crashing into one another with a sense of chaos in between. Humans are impulsive like the tide pummeling we create wars, hate each other for differences, and don’t truly see each other as humans we put each other in boxes and create hate. We may not all have the same background or life experiences, but we may experience life with multiple similarities. Richard Blaco said “No one is other, to the other, to the sea, whether on hemmed island or vast continent, remember: our grandfathers, their hands dug deep into red or brown earth, planting maple or mango trees that outlived them; our grandmothers counting years while dusting photos of their weddings—brittle family faces still alive on our dressers now.” My family passes down pictures to each other to remember the struggle of those before us. These experiences of my family like many have experienced are a string of connection to others. This connection is through generations of the same pain and sorrow as well as happiness and hopefulness. I know our life will be different. Our experiences won’t be the same, but we are human and that human feeling is and will always be there. Human life is about embracing these different types of life encounters and remembering the ones before. We are human and should treat each other as so. Life is different and beautiful and every moment should be embraced. Like the ocean we live with the constant calm or crash of waves.
2)The Sea
The sea has always been a huge part of my life as a child and even so now as an adult. I have always had a connection with it. Growing up, my sisters and I we'd play imagination games and say what if we can be any animal what would we be and I would say a fish or a whale, because I can swim in the ocean and go to all the other oceans whenever I wanted. To this day I still envy dish and whales because their home is the place I want to be at. The feeling of the sand touching your feet and smell of water and the misty damp hair you get on a beach day is my favorite type of day. Every summer I looked forward to going to the beach, with my sisters. As I got older, my favorite thing to do was getting in my car with my sisters going to the beach and stay to watch the sunset with them. It was the best past time and memory I have of them. Walking by rocks or caves and competing who would find the biggest sea shell to hear the ocean waves was so much fun. The quote that I feel is most relatable to me and I can connect to is ""MATTERS OF THE SEA" during the US Embassy Reopening Ceremony, Havana, Cuba, August 14, 2015; "Yet we’ve all cupped seashells to our ears. Listen again to the echo—the sea still telling us the end to our doubts and fears is to gaze into the lucid blues of our shared horizon, breathe together, heal together" (Blanco). The sea is as human as we are oceanic, meaning we share the same horizon but different time zones, in order to survive we need to breathe and keep moving, in order to hold ourselves together we need to stick together. The ocean would be an empty without the life in it, just like humans without cells, tissues, or organs systems we are a body with skin and flesh and that's it. We are all connected and being to have aquatic connection with the sea is memorizing is almost invincible. Their are people out in the that have and will never see the sea and its depressing. The sea has brought me memories that I will hold in my heart for the rest of my life and it gives a sense of connection of past memories of my sisters who spent all those sunrise and sunsets with me because when I'm there it's like they're there with me too.

Beyond the Sea
As the title suggests, Beyond the Sea is a simple narrative that alludes to the nature of the sea in creating a metaphoric reflection of humanity. The characteristic nature of the sea and its unique features find congruence in the nature of human beings as the narrative explains. Among the characteristic features of the sea outlined in the narrative are the tranquil nature of its beaches and the calming effect they have on humans. We all enjoy the tranquil experience by visiting the seashores or beaches around the world while also observing the changing tides and waves of the huge water bodies. All human beings enjoy the beauty of the sea while also acknowledging its potential devastating ability. Such is the essence of humanity that I believe the author or narrator tries to bring forth to the readers. In essence, the diverse backgrounds characterizing individuals across equally different societies or communities should form a stable platform for understanding and accommodating each other. Our unique life experiences reflecting in the individual or collective encounters with the sea, ranging from the calmness of its beaches to the turbulent waves, also forms part of our identities as human beings. Our peaceful nature and ability to transcend personal experiences and our diverse backgrounds across the social, cultural, economic, and political dimensions form the backbone of humanity. We should, therefore, embrace our diversity a...
