1 Common cause/reason for failure in change? Why do people fear/ avoid/not like change?
Change is important for an individual or organizational success and growth. However, people fear change for various reasons. One of them is uncertainty about the impacts of change (Grama & Todericiu, 2016). The fear of the unknown always makes people to stay inside their comfort zone rather than trying new ideas that may bear risks. People tend to take risks if they genuinely believe their chances of success are high. Another common reason people fear change is emotional turmoil caused by the past experiences with change that turned negative. The negative experiences results in misunderstanding and lack of trust, leading to resistance.
2 How to positively make change happen in environment?
One way to positively make change happen in environment is by understanding the change. Effective change occurs when a person understands what they want to change and the impacts of change in the community, organization, or individual life. Another way is by embracing failure.
