Answer/example: Douglass Annex & Hays Recreation Center offers older adults the opportunity to engage in fitness, food and fun, road trips, and games (50 plus! Champaign Park District, 2022).

More specifically, the fitness activities offered by the recreation centers consist of chair exercises, cardio workouts, and walking. According to the Champaign Park District website, the chair exercises focus on stretch and strength, core fitness, and yoga. Participants who engage in the cardio workouts may go on their own pace when participating in the mixed video and instructed cardio classes. Lastly, for the fitness section, older adults have the opportunity to walk and socialize with other members from the community at the Lincoln Square Mall food court.

Food and fun consist of quilting, movie Mondays, and senior celebration. Senior celebration provides live music, food, and dance. Furthermore, older adults may choice to participate in Daycation, which is road trips from Douglass Annex to the Riverboat Casino, Amish Adventures and Clinton Antique Mass and shops.
