Relationship Between Facts and Theories
Select a fact about something that happens when you grow up (be specific). This fact can have to do with cognitive, social, or emotional development. For example, every typically developing child learns to think using abstract concepts instead of thinking in concrete terms. (A fact would be something that every child experiences, not just some children).
Different theorists would explain this fact in different ways (these theories can be found in pages 16-22 of the Lally & Valentine-French text). Your post should be at least 150-250 words long. You should include at least one in-text citation from class learning resources (Lally & Valentine-French text; Watson lectures; Module 1 mini-lectures) and please follow APA style with your in-text citations and your list of references.
NUMBER THE QUESTIONS IN YOUR POST. It will help you to organize your writing.
1) Describe the fact.
2) Show how that fact is interpreted by one theory. Which theory and why?
3) Show how that fact is interpreted by another theory. Which theory and why?
Please post a response, and respond to at least one other person's posting

Show how that fact is interpreted by one theory. Which theory and why?

Here, children are thrust into a world of expanding social responsibilities and are eager to demonstrate their competence and skills. They recognize the importance of social bonds and mutual understanding as they navigate peer groups, school environments, and family dynamics (Lally, M. & Valentine-French, S., 2017). Erikson posited that mastering this stage nurtures a sense of pride and accomplishmen...
