In this assignment, you are asked to do an accessibility audit of a building and/or an environment surrounding a building and describe FIVE DIFFERENT accommodations for people with disabilities provided in the building and/or its vicinity.
Special Instructions
Describe each accommodation individually with appropriate subheadings. Please do not merge subheadings. (-30 points if this requirement is not met)
Length of the assignment – the description of each accommodation should be at least one paragraph long.
The picture of the accommodation has to be taken by the student. No photos downloaded from the Internet are allowed (-10 points/question if not met)
Provide appropriate in-text citations (-2.5 points per accommodation if this requirement is not met).
Provide a Reference Page at the end of the assignment. In the Reference Page, list all sources (e.g., website links) used in the preparation of the assignment (-25 points if this requirement is not met)

Accommodation 1 Hallways and Doors
Description: Its corridors and paths were clear of deliveries, machinery, and other impediments. The doors were kept open, and customers would easily open and close doors easily. The doors were also sufficiently broad to accommodate all customers (Go Access, 2014). In addition, the doors were clearly labeled with clear visible writing to enable everyone, including the visual, to find their way around the building.
Accommodation 2 Lifts
Description: The building had wide lifts that allowed wheelchair users to ascend to the upper floors without occupying much room (Massey, 2015). In contrast to a ramp that would have to be dangerously steep, lifts can travel vertically. People in wheelchairs and other mobility aids and workers pulling carts, and parents pushing strollers all benefited from the convenience of the lift. The elevators had floor mats installed to prevent slips.
