1 When you hear the words “spiritual maturity,” what do they mean to you? Respond with two to three sentences.
Spiritual maturity pertains to the individual’s ability to: 1) Surpass the limits of temptations; 3) Become understanding of the challenges given to them; 3) Be brave in resolving the issues in one’s life, knowing that there is another Higher Being or the Lord who will guide the person in making his life decisions; and 4) Develop hopefulness for the future knowing that the Higher Being or the Lord planned everything.
An example of this is experiencing failure in a career from which the individual worked hard for five years and still believing that the Lord has a future and more fantastic plans for this person.
2 From what you know, how does a person “grow spiritually?” Respond with two to three sentences.
The Point University (2016) explained that spiritual growth is dependent on five primary factors, including self-, God-, creation-, global-, and kingdom-awareness. These factors are marked by specifically developed qualities such as the following: 1) For self-awareness, the qualities include humility, patience, contentment, healthy relationships, and transparency; 2) God-awareness is marked by Bible reading and prayer; 3) Global awareness enhances the responsiveness to the needs of the community; 4) Creation awareness pertains the stewardship.; and 5) Kingdom awareness shows Christ-centeredness.
3 What would you love to learn about spiritual growth and spiritual maturity? Respond with two to three sentences.
Some of the aspects that I would love to learn include involving the actual spiritual growth process and the specific tasks that can improve spiritual maturity. Moreover, it would be great to learn about the experiences of the people who had undergone such processes to understand how it is to become spiritually mature and know the challenges they have faced, the solutions they did, and how they came up with the solutions...
