The target behavior involved talking to self or others and sighing, as demonstrated during the video presentation. There was a collection of frequency data concerning the target behavior with the help of the frequency recording form.

Frequency data collection entailed recording the start time, documenting every behavior occurrence, recording the end time, determining the length of observation, and ascertaining the target behavior rate. The behaviors counted through the frequency recording method were 15 instances in the 300-second (five minutes) observation time. Thus, to attain the target behavior rate, divide 15 occurrences by 300 seconds, resulting in one event per 20 seconds.
Discuss the results of the partial interval data collection by reporting the percentage of intervals the student engaged in the problem behavior.
Partial interval data collection involved collecting data on similar target behavior with the help of a partial interval recording form. The observation period in this method has 15 intervals. It is important to record the occurrence of the target behavior at any point during the intervals and calculate the percentage of intervals in which the behavior happened (Cooper et al., 2022). In this case, the conduct occurred in eight out of the 15; thus, the percentage of intervals during which the target behavior happened is 53%.
