1. Business Economic Structures
The US has a market-oriented economy, where private businesses and individuals make most decisions. The governments (federal and state) buy the goods and services, which are predominantly needed in the private marketplace. The business economic structures in the US are developed in such a way that they are more flexible than their counterparts in Japan and Western Europe. This is regarding the decisions to expand, capital sources, laying off workers, and developing new products.
2. Definition of Management
Management refers to the process of dealing with or controlling people and things. The five ingredients of management are vision, ownership, achievement, collaboration, and authenticity. Vision refers to the aspect of having a clear mental image of the future. Ownership refers to the ability to own up whenever issues occur in the organization.
