When multinationals start operating in a new country, they must strive to understand the employment laws of that country. This is because foreign laws vary distinctly from what the multinationals are familiar with back home. Comprehending the local employment laws is also paramount because it impacts how multinationals must operate. The best strategy IHRMs can use to address this issue is appointing a local HRM who is conversant with the local employment laws.
