Clarence Brandenburg, an officer, addressed a meeting held by Ku Klux Klan members in Hamilton County, Ohio. He made racial remarks againsts Black Americans and other minority groups, and advocated for “revengeance” against them if the government continued suppressing the Caucasian race. The meeting was recorded by the media and used as evidence in the Ohio courts. Brandenburg was found guilty of violating Ohio’s Criminal Syndicalism law, fined, and sentenced to serve one to ten years.
