The Firewall, which allows or denies incoming data on your network to protect you from cyber-attacks online, is perhaps the most crucial line of protection when it comes to your personal data. There are various types of firewalls accessible today, grouped into distinct categories, usage methods, and overall structure. For example, according to CITATION Eri19 \l 1033 (Dosal, 2019) cloud firewalls, software firewalls, hardware firewalls, next-generation firewalls, proxy firewalls, packet filtering firewalls, circuit-level firewalls, and stateful inspection firewalls are the eight types of firewalls.
There are three types of firewalls available for corporations. These are the packet filtering, next-gen, and proxy server. First, packet filtering firewalls are the oldest and most basic of all firewalls. It is usually used by controlling and changing data flow within a specified network. Companies usually use this in various security points, such as port numbers, IP addresses, and packet types.
Second, next-gen firewalls are a new version of more complicated firewall architectures. These kinds of firewalls are more in-depth and complicated as compared to their predecessors.
