Organizational culture denotes the values and behaviors that form part of a unique social, as well as psychological environment of any organization. It is the collective beliefs, norms, values and even principles of the members of the organization that are based on factors such as history, product line, market, type of employees, style of management, and the national culture. In this way, corporate culture is seen in the way an organization treats its employees, conducts business, decision-making process, information flow, and hierarchy of power among others (Alvesson, 2012).
In my past experience at Fraternal Healthcare Centre the corporate culture involved employee involvement in decision making. Since its creation, an open communication channel has been applied in the company to make employees both new and old feel at ease. This involved the use of surveys that the company gave out to all employees and requested their personal opinion on any decision for the company.
