Confidence entails believing in one’s ability to accomplish a specific set goal. Nurses require confidence to enhance self-esteem, which is a driving factor in accomplishing their goals. High self-esteem also augments nurses’ ability to respond effectively to patients’ healthcare concerns and emergency situations, thus enhancing their quality of life and health outcomes. In addition, self-confidence promotes a smooth transition from medical learning institutions to real-life clinical nursing practice (Allobaney et al., 2022). Many students lack confidence in themselves due to poor academic performance, which undermines their self-esteem (Akbari & Sahibzada, 2020). Stressful events, including unstable families and financial difficulties, may trigger a lack of confidence among students.
