For this assignment you will need to read Chapters 3 and 4 of the textbook to adequately participate in the discussion assignment and replies.
This discussion will incorporate the first 3 STEPS of the research process.

2: Justify using an interdisciplinary approach.
3: Identify relevant disciplines
Part 1: Give your two Areas of Study (AOS) and list the graduate classes that you have taken for each. These will be the Areas of Study that will be used for your interdisciplinary research.
STEP 3: Identify relevant disciplines.

Part 2: Now we may be going through STEPS a little bit out of order, but that’s ok. For this class we have to limit the relevant disciplines to your two Areas of Study as listed above. But we can continue with the STEPS 1 and 2.
STEP 1: Define the problem or state the research question.
STEP 2: Justify using an interdisciplinary approach.
As you discuss STEPS 1 and 2, include supporting material from Chapters 3 and 4 in your discussion.
State a research topic that will benefit from research and integration of your two Areas of Study. Is your research problem complex? Discuss the guidelines for research questions found in Chapter 3 and apply them to your topic. Does your topic require insight from your two Areas of Study? What do your two Areas of Study have to offer in finding insight into this problem?
Give details on the scope of the problem and why an interdisciplinary approach is necessary. Discuss why no single discipline or Area of Study has been able to find solutions to the problem. Remember that this is a work in progress. You will likely need to revise your research topic as we continue through the STEPS of the research process.
For this assignment, I do not (at present) have a primary Area of Study (AOS) but have interest in Psychology, either administrative or organizational

Understanding the various steps in the research process is essential for any leader or professional. It allows him to understand how these processes can be utilized in his own career, thereby guiding him in making strategic decisions. In line with this, I would like to focus on the various steps of the research process in answering whether or not cultural diversity in healthcare organizations allows for a more efficient and effective provision of care. This includes the use of an interdisciplinary approach in answering the question and proposing a strategic method to implement these findings in any healthcare organization.            As stated earlier, the main research question that the author aims to answer with this research is the question of “whether the promotion of cultural diversity in healthcare organizations is crucial in improving its efficiency and effectiveness.” This research question is in line with the reality that healthcare organizations are usually composed of several healthcare professionals who, despite their medical training, are born, raised, and acculturated with different religious beliefs. One example of this is the belief in various religious prohibitions (i.e., blood transfusion) that could affect the healthcare professional’s performance of his sworn medical duty or put him in conflict with other medical professionals (Purnell & Fenkl, 2019).
