Introduction
Currently, the issue of obesity is common globally due to the increasing number of fast food restaurants that sale Junk food products. Ideally, obesity is defined as overweight where a person’s height and weight as determined by the body mass index measure is considered abnormal. Specifically, the problem is common among the Americans compared to people from any other part of the world. I have narrowed by topic to reducing obesity among children by using the strategy of engaging in physical exercises. Therefore, my work will focus on how the eight essentials which I will describe in work apply to my stated topic.
Essential I
The first essential is ‘’scientific underpinning for practice.’’ Ideally, the ability to address future and current practice issues depend on the integration of the science of nursing together with other foundations for a solid practice. Further, the use of ethics is important to the practice and ensure that there is an improved level of nursing practice (Brownell & Walsh, 2017). Therefore, as a DNP prepared APRN, the knowledge gained from the topic will help me in observing work ethics when treating the children with the problem of obesity. The knowledge will enable me to improve my advocacy skills when treating patients considering equity and social justice. Nursing practice is considered a scientific process which needs the practice to be applied. Therefore, students have to set enough time to try and apply the knowledge learned in real life situation. Hence, nursing is based on scientific knowledge that is then applied in real life to gain enough experience.
The knowledge will help me to understand what children with obesity feel because they mostly suffer from depression as the society discriminates them. Hence, I will develop and analyze various strategies and determine the best method to use solving the issue. I have gained enough knowledge that enables me to integrate analytical, biophysical, and psychological sciences in improving nursing practice (Bryan et al., 2017). The knowledge will help me to address the problem of obesity among children and come up with the best method of physical exercise that they can use to end the challenge. Obesity is a concept that is learned in class, and the class knowledge is important in having better knowledge of how to deal with the condition. Hence, the lesson will provide me with enough knowledge of obesity and design appropriate strategies to deal with the challenge.

The second essential is ‘’the organization and systems leadership for quality improvement and systems thinking.’’ The second essential deals with preparing complicated expertise which is applicable in identifying issues, facilitating transitions, and assessing an organization.
