Practicum Setting and Population
The community-based education shall be held at a community center, where the participants, including patients who suffered from traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and their families, shall be educated. The families shall involve the adults and the children. The adults usually provide care for TBI patients while the children shall also be educated to provide support to the adults and prevent incurring the same disorder in the future or alleviate the means of living of people with this chronic condition (Hart et al., 2019).

Furthermore, health centers are typically equipped with the resources necessary to conduct a lesson for various audiences. 4 Rationalize the necessity of the confirmatory tests used to diagnose TBI;
5 Elucidate the importance of understanding the potential physical, mental, emotional, and social impact of the disease;
6 Describe the treatment options and their advantages and potential disadvantages to the patients and their families;
7 Expound on the importance of rehabilitation medicine in the functional status of the patients and its influence on the health outcomes;
8 Discuss the potential long-term impact of the disease;
9 Enumerate and demonstrate the self-management techniques necessary to promote independence and self-care of the patients;
10 Explicate the challenges that the patients and their families experience or might experience in the future;
Provide and rationalize the predicted timeline of the disease based on the current situation of the patients using current evidence;
Enumerate the possible complications of TBI and the possible residual effects to the overall well-being of the patient even after intensive treatment and rehabilitation; and
Implicate the significance of the patients’ mindset when trying to achieve normal or near-normal functioning.
