Leadership in Injury Prevention
Good leadership is the key requirement when implementing an injury prevention program. In particular, injury prevention specialists should be highly determined and have self-drive to minimize workplace hazards. They should be motivated to close all loopholes that might result in injuries in the workplace. The most significant leadership qualities of an injury prevention specialist are honesty, effective communicator, commitment, creativity, ability to motivate and inspire, leading by examples, and value integrity and ethics. This person cannot understand what employees go through while undertaking their duties. For this reason, it can be hard to implement effective injury prevention programs in the workplace. Ethics and integrity are what make employees and the management team listen to injury prevention specialists and work in close collaboration with them to minimize hazards in the workplace.
