I am a dental hygiene student and I need to write a journal about my experience in radiology clinic. listed below is the instructions my professor provided us. Please follow the directions percisely. Also below in I wrote what we did in clas you just need to make it sound more well written and it has to be 250 words.
What I did in class:
This week in radiology I worked on Timmy. I did two bitewings and two occlusal images one of maxillary and one of mandibular. This was more of a review for me since last term we did work on Timmy quite a bit. However, I did feel comfortable this time with taking Timmy’s radiographs as I am more familiar with taking radiographs. The part which has been the trickiest for me is taking occlusal radiographs of the maxillary. Most of the times the maxillary tooth turns out elongated. I believe this time I was able to take the radiograph better. I do feel like every time I work on taking radiographs I tend to come better each time but it is going to take a process. This time I also had to follow the appointment flow guide that was given to us at the beginning of class. It starts off by creating a patients chart having the questionaires answer and transferring them to the document center. Have the patient then sign all the treatments. Then we go do our first check in with the faculty so they can review with us all of the patients vitals and medical history. Then I would proceed with taking the radiogrpahs from the patient and complete there soap notes. I will then with the permission of the faculty dismiss my patient.
