Executive Summary
Even today, the risk of HIV infection among African-American men remains high. Men who have sex with other men, in particular, have begun to acquire HIV and have the highest HIV incidence.1 Because of this incident, a healthcare system is already in place to care for these people. However, the health in all policies approach can be used to identify and close gaps. As a result, the health system can improve by increasing Pre-exposure Prophylaxis awareness, expanding services and allocating funds to minority groups, and increasing men's participation in HIV services.

The Issue
HIV cases among African-American males have been on the rise in recent years. The majority of these men have had contact with another male.2 In 2016, African-American males who had sex with men accounted for 79 percent of HIV cases. This figure is increasing every year, and it is alarming.
Strengths of the Current System
The system does not cease providing quality care and services to people with HIV, specifically African-American males. The components of the system contribute to preventing and curing the disease.
