Clinical Practice Guideline for Patients with Opiod Use Disorder

Assignment and instruction. Please submit the full article or link to the full article because it has to be turned in with the assignment. Also the assignment is in two parts. I need one page for the guideline and then the worksheet to be completed ( 2 pages) which makes a total of 3 pages for the whole assignment
1. My PICO Question:
IN ADULT PATIENTS WITH OPIOID USE DISORDER, HOW DOES MEDICATION COMBINED WITH PYSCHOTHERAPY COMPARED TO PSYCHOTHERAPY ONLY AFFECT WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS?
2. Find topic that answers my PICO in UPtodate or dynamed:
You Can type opioid use disorder, adult population some articles will pop up. Choose the best article that talks about OUD in adults. Will need PDF of this article to attach to the worksheet.
3. Next find Guidelines through the links on the left-hand side of Uptodate or dynamed. Does not necessarily have to include everything in your pico. But at least must include population and topic, may or may not address interventions/comparison. Has to be a guideline, I have attached the criteria for what passes as a guideline. Not expert opinion
4. Then attach the guideline on the first worksheet CPG and complete the worksheet. Needs to be <5yrs old. Use Control F key to quickly find keywords that specifically address my PICO question. Some of the guidelines are too big.

2. Students will access pertinent articles related to their topic.
3. Apply learned critical appraisal skills.
4. Evaluate articles for quality and applicability
Get Ready: For this assignment, all of these criteria must be met:
1. Methodology: There are many types of research methodologies including quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, clinical practice guidelines, etc. For the purposes of this assignment, you must have a:
1. Clinical Practice Guideline that contains info related directly to your PICO topic.
1. The guideline may not match your PICO exactly, but the population and topic of interest need to be included.
2. A point of care resource (UpToDate or DynaMed) that directly addresses the PICO question at hand.
2. Dates: Publication date must be < 5 years old (however--if your topic does not have enough for these parameters then go backwards from there). Always take most recent articles--then go backwards with publication date. If you must go more than 5 years old, contact your faculty member for approval.
1. For your Clinical Practice Guideline, it may have been written more than 5 years previously, but should have been "reaffirmed" within the last 5 years. If you can't find a guideline less than 5 years old (authored or reaffirmed), please work with your faculty member.
3. PDF copy of entire point of care article, and clinical practice guideline must be submitted with the assignment.

5. Setting – U.S. studies are more generalizable to the US population (preferred), but international studies are permissible.
