Frustration in children and adults arises from unpredictability or insecurities caused by unfulfilled needs and wants. Outbursts or visible anger show frustration in children that can be controlled by skills. This paper evaluates how a teacher could help children communicate frustrations and distress and help parents respond to their children’s frustrations or needs.
Teachers have authority when children are at school; correcting them, teaching them behavior, and judging between the bad and the good is their role. Teachers notice frustration in children via the tantrums or needs expressed while in schools. Communication is critical to inquire about the problem leading to such changes in moods and behavior. Teachers will take the role of training the kids to explore their emotions, understand their situations, and then manage them. In doing so, they should learn to acknowledge their desires, inability to meet them, and cope with the conditions. Teaching children to understand the needs is another way of making them reasonable. Constant training opens up their minds, guides them on patience to wait for something they do not have. They also need to learn that not everything would happen at their disposal. The teacher gives the student chances to understand the probability of events and understand how to cope with them. In children, using distractors works quickly due to their flexibility in mind. Most of them can engage in games or activities that disengage their minds from the frustrations. The strategy works well for kids until they acquire what they needed.
