1. Customers
Currently, Google is being used by people of all age groups and geographic locations. This means Google.com is the most visited website in the world, and billions of searches are done every single day (Cassin, 2017). For example, in the United States, nearly 75 percent of people use Google as the core search engine. Its services like Blogger.com and YouTube.com are also in high demand irrespective of demographics, psychographics and buying behaviors of the users. Bing is the biggest competitor of Google.com, but the latter is used and trusted by most of the people who come online to search for something important. We can also say that Google holds the majority of search market shares in all countries excluding South Korea, China, Japan, and Russia. Students and businesspeople, as well as Facebook and Twitter users, prefer Google over other search engines in order to find something of their interest. In addition, white collar and tech-savvy people regularly use Google.com and other services of this company. Customers are quite satisfied with the way Google is serving them, and they are loyal toward YouTube.com, Blogger.com, and Google.com. In the past, Google’s average cost-per-click was about $1.83/click. Most recently, the average cost-per-click (CPC) has increased by 31 percent.
A large number of people use Google on a daily basis and most of them like its search engine. Various people buy products via Google, and some use Google to market, promote or advertise their goods or services (Lawrence, 2017). In the modern era, all smartphones have the feature of Google Play. People can easily buy products or download games and applications of their choice with the help of Google Play.
Given that technology is changing every single day, it is very easy for Google to serve its customers/users and provide them with a far better experience than ever. In the future, people may begin using Facebook, Twitter, and Google simultaneously to advertise their products or services. Search is the pinnacle of Google’s business strategy, so the search engine giant has to implement strategies that ensure its prominence years after years. It has to take all threats and opportunities into account and may have to shift the focus on least famous countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Brazil. Google should also reduce the advertising costs and may like to provide an option of regional languages so that more and more people can get benefited from its services or offers.
