From Homeless to Hopeful Strategic Management Plan
****Please note this is an on-going project, each week there is a new assignment****
Step II: Research - research how a local church can create/implement a program within the organization that will recruit homeless citizens and prepare them to return to the workforce and maintain a home within 6 months. Research should also include resources that would be available for the homeless citizens to teach them how to budget their money, apply for employment as well as return to the program to mentor for newly enrolled participants that have been recruited for the next 6 month cycle. The vision is that the program would take in at least 25 people every 6 months and return them to society in 6 months.

Homelessness is not only a chronic crisis in the United States but also in the global society. Solutions require both pragmatic and permanent solutions that can help remove people from the streets and return them to work where possible. The housing First approach proves to be more effective because it provides permanent housing to end homelessness and serves as a platform for homeless individuals to pursue personal goals like employment. Below are some of the critical resources that can inform decisions to end homelessness by a local church.
