Communications & Events Coordinator's Restructuring of Events
This is a written exercise: The City of Rosenberg has a open position for Communications & Events Coordinator.
Please follow the instructions below to inform you of what is needed from the written exercise and how to submit your written exercise.
1. The Communications Department currently produces 24 events per year.
During our annual event evaluation and planning session, we decided to restructure a couple events.
As part of our Discover Downtown Rosenberg Program we currently host Chocolate Walk in February and Cookie Walk in November. We would like to combine those two events into one new event. The new event would still need to consist of event attendees visiting our Downtown Merchants for a treat or sweet of some kind.
Please answer the following questions:
• How would you recommend we combine the two events?
• What would you name the new event?
2. The Events section of our Department consists of one (1) Director (who you would fully support and report to) and two (2) Event Managers (who you would support during events). In a couple of sentences, tell us how you think would be the best way to support the administrative and events needs of the department.
