Introduction
Corporate responsibility involves ways in which a company acts towards various stakeholder (customers, investor, employees, etc). Although Patagonia is a business they are also certified as a “B Corporation”. B (Benefit) corporations are not a corporate legal form (as a corporation is), but rather a means of certifying companies in terms of their social responsibility:
“Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.”

4. More generally, what are the benefits of diversity in the workplace?
Diversity in the workplace improves the culture of the organization. According to Aysola (2018), diversity brings people from different cultures, backgrounds, and specialties tow work together in one organization. Organizations work hard to embrace other cultures due to the large number of people they serve. According to Hofhuis et al. (2016), these people come from different cultures, which would require individuals who understand their culture to serve them. To attain these, organizations choose to train their employees on foreign cultures, ask them to diversity their cultures, and recruit employees from the same cultures. The services rendered in such an environment are seamless and satisfying to the clients and communities. It mirrors the demographic features of the people served by such a firm (Boylan & Grant, 2004). The essence of culture also narrows to individuals having the ability to serve in more than one specialty area, allow rotations within the company, and facilitate replacements when an individual leaves.

The drawbacks of diversity stretch from the costs of maintenance to rates at which culture changes. The world has billions of cultures that one organization cannot comprehensively explore. To achieve various cultures, most firms find it challenging to keep all the culture demands, hence the drop in enthusiasm to maintain them (Guillaume et al., 2017).
