Case Study Instructions:

This is a case study for a local recruitment agency here in Northern Ireland called Haughey Recruitment.
Section 1 is worth 25% and section 2 is worth 75%
Part 1: Powerpoint Presentation
The first part of this coursework comprises a powerpoint presentation, in which the student will apply their understanding of Marketing Management in Practice concepts and practices. The presentation should include the background research and market insights developed plus the application of a range of marketing frameworks on the marketing project in question. There should be no more than 5 Slides – not including a cover page and a final page of references. (If you aren't able to provide this in a powerpoint presentation format, as I couldn't find out if the writers were able to do that, please just present it in a standard written essay format and I'll do it myself once the work is complete)
The presentation should consist of the following and the Marking Rubric is below:
Introduction and evaluation of the current marketing practices of the case company highlighting any advantages and disadvantages of these, drawing on theory and industry best practice.
Market Research including Competitor Analysis – An overview of the market and industry in which the case company operates. A profile of the organisation versus competitors.
Clear identification of any competitive advantages that exist.
There must be evidence of Micro Environmental analysis.
Application of Marketing Frameworks – the use of range of theoretical and academic frameworks should be applied to the case company to present insight and evidence to support proposals made later for the company. These must include at least two framework such as SWOT or TOWS framework, PESTLE, Porters Five Forces etc. There must be evidence of Macro Environmental analysis.
Referencing & Presentation – the presentation should be a maximum of 5 slides. Relevant academic and professional sources should be referenced and written using Harvard Reference System.
Part 2: Individual written report of 1,350 words
The student will use their analysis from the presentation and produce a Marketing Repot for the case company. The plan will be written in a management report style, should be min 1500 words in total, and will include:
Title page (Not included in word count)
Contents page (Not included in word count)
Section 1: Marketing Objective Setting – use of appropriate method for setting objectives –You should select key marketing objectives (priorities) for the business to pursue.
Section 2:
Positioning statement: Who should the target market be for brand developments? What are the key positioning attributes (can be further illuminated within Mkt Mix)?
Marketing Mix:
Provide appropriate suggestions for marketing mix to suit both the proposed positioning of the business, the key objectives selected and the context of the firm i.e. resources available. Extra marks can be awarded for creativity and innovative thinking. The marketing mix should also reflect the positioning of the brand (e.g. if proposing the development of new market segments to be targeted or how-to better target current market segments).
Section 3: Marketing Appraisal - students should propose some ways in which the business can appraise performance. Again, these should be appropriate and measure the attainment of stated objectives from before.

NOTE FROM CLIENT: Then could you perhaps just write the first section involving the powerpoint slides as if they were all part of the same essay. By that I mean could you forget about the slides and just write everything as one big case study essay and once I have my hands on the completed work I can just turn that first section into powerpoint slides myself. So essentially I'm asking if Section 1 (Powerpoint slides) be written in the same format as section 2.
