Case Study One: Part A
From the above analysis, the reaction of Susan is abnormal; therefore, there is a high chance she is suffering from anxiety. Susan can speak without any problem in a normal environmental situation, but it becomes an issue when engaging in public speaking. According to Sinoff (2017), anxiety is the human body's natural response to stress, and it is also fear or apprehension about the future. Similarly, anxiety is a sense of uneasiness, worry, or uneasiness. The analysis confirms that, indeed, Susan is positive for anxiety disorder. For example, she highly worried about the outcome of her speech and public speaking skills motivating her to train hard.
On the other hand, anxiety is caused by phobic and stress disorders. Critically, phobic disorder incorporates social anxiety disorder (social phobia), an overwhelming fear of the social situation, as noted in Susan's case. It has been highlighted that the client (SUSA) always becomes anxious she must, and she is afraid to be the center of attraction where people focus on a single person's speech.
Susan's behavior also expresses that she is suffering from stress disorder, one of the typical causes of anxiety disorder. Notably, life events in school and work can instigate anxiety. From the above analysis, Susan is a student, and there are high chances of her being in a stressful situation due to school pressure such as deadlines and teachers being very strict in awarding marks. These issues can lead to her anxious state when speaking in public.
