Managers in charge of Organizations and Institutions are anticipated to govern their staff to attain excellent operations that meet or exceed institutional targets. Generally, managers must exhibit high leadership skills to ensure the efficient operation of the organization, though leadership in many societies around the globe is equated to a particular job title. However, leaders need more than a speck on the office desk to manage staff. Indeed, effective leadership is the capability of a person or group of people to sway others to attain improved outcomes for an organization or business institution. Primarily, significant leaders around the world have strong self-awareness qualities and precise flexibility mechanisms to aid them in managing their subjects. Nonetheless, different leaders utilize different leadership styles to attain their institutional goals (Van Eeden, Cilliers, & Van Deventer, 2008). For instance, in the video 'workplace leadership', Lisa and Amanda exhibit different leadership styles and skills in managing their staff.
Remarkably, Amanda is a democratic leader who makes significant decisions depending on the input of Steve and Kathy. Although she makes the final decision on the direction of the projects, Steve and Kathy have an equivalent say on the project's direction. On the other hand, Lisa is an autocratic leader.
