Your essay should be typed and double-spaced, standard-sized (8.5" x 11"), with 1" margins on all sides. Use a widely available 11 or 12 point fonts. These include sans serif fonts such as 11-point Calibri, 11-point Arial, and 10-point Lucida Sans Unicode as well as serif fonts such as 12-point Times New Roman, 11-point Georgia, 10-point Computer Modern.
The purpose of this particular case (based upon content in chapter 6), is to focus on Investment Associates, Inc.--a company that is in need of a more robust HRIS system to keep track of and automate records. The company owner, Jim, enlists the help of Sylvia to create a case to justify the need for the HRIS system.

Investment in an organization determines the success or failure of the institution. In the case study, Sylvia can employ organizational enhancement to justify the investments. The organization demands a higher degree of technology, which is needed to ensure the files employees use are kept well and together. Organizational enhancement is, therefore, a justification for the investment undertaken by Sylvia. The investment has costs and benefits that are attached to it. First, there are the direct costs, which involve purchasing the HRIS system, hardware, software, and conducting system maintenance. There are also indirect costs attached to it, which suggests a need to hire an IT specialist to help with the operations of the HRIS system. The benefits that would be included in the BCA are automation of processes and ease of filing.
The identified costs are estimated differently as the direct cost is estimated by finding the costs of purchasing the HRIS system and implementation (Johnson, Carlson & Kavanagh, 2021). To estimate the indirect costs, Sylvia has the task of investigating the salary scale of IT specialists to know how they will pay the expert when sought after by the company.
