In today’s, world, there is no shortage of employee poaching by larger or simply well-run organizations. The influx of admirable job opportunities means that the employer always has to find new ways of improving their organization and keeping the employees satisfied. Higher turnover rates are expensive to an organization and breed a perception that the organization is just a career stepping stone rather than a destination. Therefore, HR planning is influential in addressing issues that may facilitate dissatisfaction among employees consequently increasing the turnover rate.
The simplest way of employee retention is providing them motivation and satisfaction in their job. However, this is much harder to do in practice as it deals with a psychological and individual will. Therefore, the best an organization can do is create an environment that will help the employee make up their mind to stay loyal to the organization. One of those ways is addressing their issues in the office and at times out of the office. An employee HR manager is essential to the success of employe retention as he or she is needed to connect with the employees past the professional level. They can help in guiding them through work-life balance issues that may affect their careers. To avoid being overwhelmed, it is important to pick key priorities and structure everything else around that particular issue.
Adequate compensation is the first step that can help even out the life and work dynamics and put the employee’s mind at ease. This is because the compensation communities subconsciously the value an employee holds in the organization. Good compensation will be a motivating factor to employees as it will help them decide on the organization as the priority.
