Introduction
One of the primary issues impacting American community health care outcomes is the medical mistrust and lack of access assurance within most healthcare facilities. Historically, the healthcare services access in the U.S. have been deplorable for people of color, minorities, and other challenged groups. The issues range from low reassurance and insurance of treatment where patients express mistrust and anger. The minorities lacked reassurance in medication and insurance since they hardly participated in the community-level decision-making. Accordingly, it is well-established that life expectancy varied from one neighborhood to another. INOVA’s primary goal is to offer equal care to a large community in Fairfax County, but some residents feel the existence of healthcare access gaps. Medical reforms have been championed, but the the structurally marginalized communities feel surrounded by a lack of progress and reassurance. Many claim they should get opportunities to explore the ‘top-notch’ services offered by the facility in the area without barriers.
