At this stage, the company has made staggering profits and has a good economic base in the locality. They invest in the international market, in this case India where they start extending their scope of market. They tend to open local offices, make local partnerships and even acquisition of local companies. This is done very carefully after a thorough assessment of the market and the trends in the respective market in the country.             It is quite evident that Flipkart is on the first stage of this development. The main reason being that this online store is still investing locally and majorly trying to dominate the local markets(Varghese, 2015). This investment is like building a strong foundation for the company so that in the future, when they start foreign investments, they have solid grounds and the core business of the company is not compromised. This is actually the stage at which the brand is built, and the company sells its agenda to the people by offering quality services. Amazon is currently hiring so many people(Tredgold, 2018). They are building the base in the advertisement sector and properly investing in the same. This is because the future of the markets lies within the internet and they have to devise ways to keep adopting the new market trend. For example, Amazon has leased over 360000 square feet of land and hired more than 2000 people to the teams to facilitate the online advertisement.             The online markets in India account for only two percent of the total trades in the country. However, after a projection was done, this ratio is expected to grow thirteen times by 2026 and even until then, this will only account for 12 percent of the total trade on the country. For this reason, Walmart acquired Flipkart and made this projection as well. However, the competition in the digital online market intensifies all the same.   What competitive advantages does each possess? What disadvantages? It is clear that the online markets even in India, are free, with maximum competition from all the investors. However, the difference between the bidders lies within the markets. How efficient they are in the delivery of the services, how reliable they are and even how much advertisement they do, being that their market is majorly digital.  For most people in the market, both Amazon and Flipkart compete for customers. Amazon does have an upper hand in this competition because they have been in the market much longer than their counterparts(Puneet, n.d.).
