Case Study Author`s Name Institution Affiliation Part 1 In January 2017, McDonald’s announced that it would introduce two new and better versions of Big Mac for a short time, and the purpose was to give tough competition to its rivals in the United States markets. Since then, the company has been selling many of its products off the outlets so that more and more customers can be engaged. However, things did not go as expected, and McDonald’s has been criticized for the quality of its food as well as for the way it sells and markets its snack foods and drinks. Skinner has also collaborated with the franchisees in order to address the issue and to maintain the reputation of its aging stores. The first issue McDonald’s is facing is that its sales have been decreased significantly both in the United States and Europe. Another main issue is that most of the customers dislike its outlets due to their poor décor and bad seating area. In 2002, a survey was conducted by Global Growth Group regarding the quality of fast foods being sold worldwide, especially in the United States. McDonald’s came third and Chick-fil-A Inc. and Wendy’s secured the first two positions. Part 2 McDonald’s was in serious trouble, and measures for improving its services and the quality of food were being taken. Finally, Vice-Chairman James R.
