In the second volume of Ancient Egyptian Literature A Book of Readings, Miriam Lichtheim talks about the culmination of the literary genre in the period of New Kingdom. This period spans from the 15th century to the 16th century and covers the principal dynasties of Egypt.
* From this text, it is evident that the famous Egyptian Pharaohs are Ahmose I, Thutmose III, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep III, Tutankhamun, and Akhenaten.
* Queen Hatshepsut primarily focused on how to expand the trade of Egypt, and for this purpose, they sent a number of commercial expeditions to the land of Punt.
* During the Second Intermediate era, the policies implemented by the Hyksos impacted the world to an extent. At that time, buffers were created between Egypt and the Levant.
* From this reading, I got to know that the antithetical pairs were the silent and the hot-tempered man, the wicked and the pious man, and the fool and the wise man.
* All of them contributed to the welfare and betterment of Egypt in one way or the other.
