Mr. Lukehart's expertise and experience having worked with large organizations like Target and Amazon qualify him to talk on the issue of warehouse supervision. Transition to other smaller companies made him come to the realization that other warehouse managers lack the knowledge and techniques being taught and utilized in large companies. He knew the importance of these techniques being available for all supervisors especially on putting safety first. The working environment is supposed to be safe for any business to happen because the safety of workers is not only their human rights but also the right thing to do. Safety will translate into productivity as the workers will be motivated to work.
Quality in warehousing is paramount in the success of the enterprise. This means that the supervisors need to ensure that the employees are efficient and accurate in doing their job and at the same time, ensuring that chances of damage are reduced. Quality is paramount as it directly affects the consumers which are the customers of the products thus the input and output in production should be of high quality. The quality is expected in employees’ performance as its management motivates the employees to work harder and value their input in the company thus, they provide efficient service. Staffing departments that are overworked increases productivity as it lessens the burden and working hours of other employees, therefore, increasing efficiency.
