Existence of Alien Life in the Universe
Dominik, Martin, and John C. Zarnecki. “The detection of extraterrestrial life and the consequences for science and society." (2011): 499-507. BIBLIOGRAPHY \l 1033
Dominik and Zarnecki (499) defined alien life as a life that may originate and exist outside the earth. Previous studies suggested that the existence of aliens outside the earth is hypothetical, as scientists have not found evidence of any planets that can support life. However, this article explains the existence of alien life in the universe. According to Dominik and Zarnecki (499), astronomers have detected planets orbiting stars where life may exist. They are yet to prove that humans are not alone in the universe, but are accompanied by the aliens. This source is good for my research paper because it talks about the origin and existence of aliens in the universe. The article provides critical arguments as to why these fictional beings may exist in the earth. I am planning to use this article in my research by assessing the facts and arguments it presents.
Dick, Steven J. The twentieth-century history of the extraterrestrial life debate: major themes and lessons learned." Astrobiology, history, and society. Berlin, Heidelberg: Springer, 2013.
Dick (133) argues that that the search for alien life is accompanied by various scientific facts that must be taken into account. Firstly, scientists must outline the fundamentals of life. Secondly, researchers must tell whether life could have existed on any planet apart from the earth. Lastly, the likelihood of the evolution of intelligent life must also be determined. According to Dick (133), these three scientific concepts must be analyzed before concluding that aliens exist in the universe. The reason this article is good for my research is that it outlines concepts about the existence of aliens in the universe. It presents facts that are appropriate in my study findings, and I am planning to use it in my study paper by evaluating the three concepts.
Crowe, Michael J, and Matthew F Dowd. The extraterrestrial life debate from Antiquity to 1900." Astrobiology, History, and Society. Berlin, Heidelberg: Springer, 2013.
Crowe and Dowd (3) present arguments of the Historical debate concerning alien life from ancient times to the start of the 20th century. Although researchers in Antiquity had different views on the existence of extraterrestrial life, Aristotle,...
