My long-term goal for pursuing pharmacy degree program is to assist others in an efficient and safe manner in the application of innovative pharmaceutical medicines. My personal ambition significantly inspires me to become a pharmacist as my interest lies in improving people’s daily lives. I am looking forward to pursuing a life-long learning profession in pharmacy. I will remain committed to achieving my career goals by participating in activities that will benefit me in developing my profession and knowledge of pharmaceutical science through higher education and engaging in practical work experience.
As I enrolled to high school, I acquired a better knowledge of the significance and application of medicines due to the science and mathematics subjects I chose to study. My experience in mathematics, biology and chemistry were highly positive, which enabled me to develop the interest in the career in pharmacy. I excelled in these subjects, achieving A’s for my final exams. These results entirely convinced me about my potentials, and I was completely assured of my desire to become a pharmacist. Based on my point of view, pharmacy is not only about manufacturing and dispensing medicines, but also, the profession deals with a more fundamental role of saving people’s lives. Medicine is being used for reducing the number of people who typically would have succumbed to death on the daily basis.
I am assured that other subjects I studied in high school, these include English literature, geography, French, and psychology have enabled me to develop different skills that are important in the future career development. For instance, I have gained writing skills that have enabled me to synthesize and analyze information competently, and I have acquired significant communication and interpersonal skills including the capability to work as a team.
