My name is Ali. Medicine has been my career dream since childhood. My father and his eldest brother are great physicians. Reading medical texts and listening to countless clients who came to consult my father provided me with the taste to study medicine. Realizing my interest to study medicine, my father and uncle mentored and role modeled me in many aspects. I was excited when I was admitted to University of Chicago to pursue medicine after finishing high school. I realize it as my true career calling. This last summer, I graduated from university of Carolina with bachelor’s degree in medicine, majoring in physical therapy. I have also done diploma in laboratory sciences. I am sending this application to express my interest in your 2012 Physician Assistant admission program. I am Iowan resident applying for MS physician assistant. I have a decent academic proof and significant accomplishments in sports. I have also worked as an intern at West Mother Hospital. The internship provided me with greater understanding of roles of physicians in health care. It provided me with insights into expectations and responsibilities of physicians. I am also involved in Adolescent birth control Advocacy Campaign at my locality concerned with convincing the sexually active youths to seek and utilize family planning practices and services. All these will ensure I become valuable asset for University of Chicago. Thus, my education, patient-care and life experiences will project me as value asset for the program.
