Big Data Analytics M.SC

I’m applying for the Big Data Analytics M.SC. at trent University (here is the link: https://www(dot)trentu(dot)ca/amod/program/big-data-analytics-msc) I need to write a personal statement to accompany my application. The personal statement should detail my interest and experience in the subject area. I have answered some question below to give you mor insight about me. 1-2 pages. preferably 1page. • The reason why I selected this program: I’m at a point in my life where in redefining my career goals and aspiration. While in university I was working as a Operations contract analysis where I dealt on a monthly basic with as load of different data types and was task with reconciliation on financial data in relation to the contract, tract burnup rates from contracts with data visualization tools. I was also responsible of a setting from scratch a dashboard that tracked in real time different KPIs and OKR in Realtime for the team. Although the position was very customers focus, I can now see how it could also pass as a business analyst role as the report of my analyst will serve in making the strategic business decisions like motorizing the contract, going to RFP for a cheaper rate, volumes count for the depot or closing the depot. • My chosen area of study and how it relates to the current studies: I have a Bachelor of Commerce in finance from the university of Ottawa. During my time as BCom candidate, I have collected, manipulated and store data of very kind for different courses, or projects. I also took 2 statistic courses, 2 calculus courses and 2 linear algebra courses. I took a course in optimization and data modelling. I’m also currently talking a Python programming language certificate with Western university. • My experience in relation to the chosen program: • What are my interests and responsibilities in relation to the program: About a year ago, I work as a Scrum master on big data project with a bank. Being part of this project and leading the development of team on this project really sparked a data fire in me. This was the catalyst to want to continue my career in purely data-oriented, data-driven roles. • After university, what's next: My goal is to use Big data to craft a more dynamic credit scoring solutions that overcomes the current limitation of our traditional system with hopes that this solution will help institutions dynamize their credit applications process and predict accurate future credibility habits. • A summary of why I will make an excellent student: You can call or text me if you need more info
