2. How Buildings and Spaces work
* The way a space is design affects the way people interact with each other. For example, people can be more friendly towards each other when there are available spaces where they can converse and socialize with each other.
* One can see understand how a space is being used by looking at the way it is designed. For example, putting curtains in bedrooms might mean that the owner values privacy.
* Adding or removing things in a space can promote or prevent people from engaging in certain activities. For example, adding play implements in a space can transform it into a playground, or adding musical instruments to a room in a house can transform it into a music room.
* People change their environments in ways that create their mark their territory. For example, adding photographs of family members or displaying medals of awards received.
* Physical spaces are ways for individuals to communicate to the public at large about who they are, their interests, etc.
