As part of the life structure it is crucial for one to have values that guide the various aspects of their life. Every other person is guided by a moral code they live by and one that determines their behaviors in their daily life. Part of the most crucial values include honesty, which is also a virtue by itself. Being honest means that one able to conduct their activities in a manner that indicates or implies that one is straightforward. As such, is able to rise above the need to lie to get their way or to simply take advantage of the persons that they interact with. Being respectful is also an important value that speaks to being polite or showing deference (Blackwell, 2008). This is a crucial value and one that applies to all areas of life whether personal or professional. Being nurturing is also a very crucial, relative to the fact that one is able to offer support to persons that they interact with. One other crucial value is being open minded. This is means that one is able to easily relate with situations and people from different perspectives and willing to consider new and different ideas. This is a crucial aspects especially where one is faced by different challenges on a daily basis, some of which challenge the status quo of the some personal believes and professional practices (Blackwell, 2008). At the spiritual level, having the belief in a system that bigger than oneself gives the inner peace and a sense of safety and belonging. Spiritually believing in the divine powers of God, sets ones path that is guided in principles or virtue.
The health care system is one that has seen quite a number of reforms over the last several decades. This is relative to the fact that, there have been quite a number of concerns in the past with regard to the quality, cost and the social significance of the systems in place. Of the two main systems that have been used in the health care sector and ones that are largely being used in most parts of the states are the fee for service and managed care system. The fee for service system is one that slowly being phased out due to the values that it stood for (Barnes, 2012). This is a system that quite discriminating to most of the people in the public and largely benefited the rich in the society. It is a system, where the medical practitioners took advantage of the patients (Fernandopulle, 2016). Doctors would maximize on the number of patient that they could attend to in a day, given that this also meant that they would make a lot more money with the high number of visits. This meant that the patients did not get specialized care as much of the effort was not directed at helping the patients but rather financial gains.
