Personal Values and Spiritual Beliefs
It is essential to determine the fact that values determine the essential beliefs that is shared by same members within a similar culture that defines the goods and the bad in the society. Additionally, values may also influence an individual’s life and act as a guide in practice (Browne, 2001). Compared to the great leaders who possessed great values, I also have some values that I may consider as mutual and that include truthfulness, embracing the good and assisting those who need help, fighting against elements that violate the rights of individuals of any genders, and non-violence.
As a protestant, God remains my source of strength, a factor that requires me to put my faith in Him. My personal belief in God therefore molds my values and beliefs and the manner in which I relate to the society.On the other hand, spiritual beliefs are a set of organized practices that are usually shared by a group of people. It is therefore imperative to determine the fact that spirituality tends to be more centered on individual beliefs and practices and does with a people having a sense of purpose and peace (Browne, 2001). Some of the beliefs I possess includes not holding a grudge with someone and never judging an individual. I also believe that it is essential for humanity to show love and care to every other in the best way possible as God showed in scripture.
Beliefs and Opinions about Health Care Policy
Healthcare remains a necessity for every society, a factor that determines the fact that its costs and quality should be put under consideration. It is however essential to determine that the cost of caring for the citizens of a nation may not only be handled by taxes (Kaiser Family Foundation.2003). This therefore requires that policy makers ensure other approaches are arrived at in dispensing affordable and quality healthcare services to the population.
It is crucial to determine the fact that cost and quality, including social issues remain influential elements in determining the effectiveness of health policies. This has been noted under the consideration of the fact that health policy inequalities are immensely determined by cost and quality which are used to evaluate the existing disparities in the quality of health care services. Studies have shown that the relationship between the quality and cost of healthcare are primarily attributed to social issues (Kaiser Family Foundation.2003).
