Introduction
The growing divorce rate and separation in society have emerged as a primary concern for social scientists in recent years. In the US, it is estimated that about 50% of marriages end up in divorce. Many social scientists have begun exploring the potential impact this situation could have on future generations. Divorce is a very emotional process, not only for a couple but also for their children. Extant studies have demonstrated a wide range of problems and challenges associated with children of divorced parents (Christensen and Brooks, 2001). For instance, children from divorced families grapple with different behavioral and psychological issues, some of which persist into adulthood. This study will specifically analyze how divorce influences the attitudes of children towards love and marriage.
