Teressa, Bakketeig, and Magnus (2015) carried out an observational study to explore the link between alcohol consumption before and during pregnancy and the associated risk of pre-term births. The researchers used questionnaires as the main method of collecting data for the study. Each questionnaire contained questions on the number of alcohol usage each week, month, or lack of usage throughout. The Advantage of using the method of questionnaires was relevant for this study as it allowed the researchers to collect enough data for the study within a short time.
