Speech Presentation.
"The history of labor struggles is laden with stories of bravery determination and sheer grit, a combination that laid the foundation of the current labor environment. Through a series of trial and errors, the founding fathers of trade unions managed to create awareness among workers that they were a very important element of any industry. The earliest union, the Knights of Labor, taught us the art of mobilization, but also the importance of a good structure for stability of any union.
Ladies and gentlemen, the importance of having foresight, to be able to predetermine how much a union can hold, and be ready for any number of members, cannot be stressed more. Samuel Gompers worked on this to come up with the American Federation of Labor which he improved upon some of the organizational failures of its predecessor. However, we must come to the realization that the labor struggles have not always had their way through unions as we see from the Homestead Strike. People shall be frustrated, tortured, and even killed, but nothing can kill free will. This, we should understand, should be used as lessons to learn from.
