The proposed title for a schoolwide event will be "Celebrating our Multicultural Community: A Family Cultural Fair." The event shall be a is a family cultural fair that celebrates the rich and diverse cultures of our English Language Learners families. The purpose of this event is to foster a sense of community and inclusivity among our school families, while also providing a platform for our ELL families to share their cultural traditions with the larger school community. This event will help create a welcoming and inclusive school environment that values diversity and promotes cultural understanding.
The agenda and the timelines for the activities that will be conducted in the event will be as follows:
* Welcome and Introduction (10:00 am - 10:15 am): The event will start with a brief welcome from the principal and a short introduction to the event.
* Cultural Exhibits (10:15 am - 11:30 am): Families will set up booths to showcase their culture. Families will be encouraged to bring traditional clothing and artifacts to display at their booths.
* Cultural Performances (11:30 am - 12:30 pm): The cultural fair will also feature performances by students and families.
* Community Lunch (12:30 pm - 1:30 pm): The event will conclude with a community lunch featuring traditional dishes from participating families.
To effectively hold the event, the following equipment, and supplies will be required.

The proposed event, "Celebrating our Multicultural Community: A Family Cultural Fair," seeks to create an inclusive school environment that values diversity, promotes cultural understanding, and supports the cultural background of English Language Learners (ELLs). In this essay, we will justify how the event supports language acquisition in English Language Learners.
The proposed event provides an opportunity for ELL families to share their cultural traditions with the larger school community. To this end, the event will be an indication that the school supports the cultural backgrounds of ELLs and will not require the learners to dissociate from it during the learning process. According to Markey et al. (2021), culturally responsive teaching is critical for ELLs' academic achievement and social-emotional well-being.
