In your final research paper, you will have a chance to demonstrate your mastery of (1) the material you studied and discussed in recitation section and (2) a learning goal of SAS Core Contemporary Challenge courses: Analyze a contemporary global issue from a multidisciplinary perspective.

Introduction
Globalization is the process by which nationals’ cross-border networks are developed to thus enhance industrial services and product dispersion across various geographical regions. It involves the methods that ensure countries ‘economies become integrated with the world economies. Globalization is mostly developed when countries experience, constraint, pleasure, and opportunities. Through globalization, opportunities for businesses and the acquisition of products and services are facilitated thus minimizing geographical inequities (Cavoli, Listokin, Rajan, & Chen, 196). This paper will focus on the effects of globalization in East Asia region in general. It will also briefly assess some of the impacts various countries within the region have witnessed as a result of globalization.
General Globalization Effects in Eastern Asia
Entry of global industries into East Asia possesses market competition challenge to the local firms. This necessitates the locals to devise ways of improving standards and qualities of their products and services either via advancing, developing new ones as a market survival strategy (Agami, Abdel, 15). Foreign trading has been introduced allowing the local industries to offer their products to foreign market thus increasing their market share. This also offers them with opportunities to learn new ways and methods of products’ quality and standard improvements as well as chances of growth. Globalization has harmonized the technical know-how and the skills, making it easy for experts to work at any part of the world (Agami, Abdel, 17).
Via globalization, fresh talents get noticed and developed as a result of venturing of global companies into various nations. With scenarios of those kinds, domestics’ industries experience the need for increased labor to work in the firms in order them to remain in the market (Cavoli, Listokin, Rajan, & Chen, 213). Countries in the developing stage are usually faced with financial challenges that bar them from expansion and developing thus leading to unemployment. With such disadvantages, introduction and involvement of multinational natures of business in those nations would be very important. The local citizens will be able secure job opportunities from foreign firms. The reduction of unemployment results to increased quality of life improves the economy of host nations, reduces idleness and drugs and fosters security.
On the other hand, globalization has resulted in some negative effects on the locals’ various ways. Through globalization, local companies, firms, and industries have been presented and exposed to many skilled labors with specialized skills (Watson, 560). This has seen local’s employees lose their jobs to foreigners hence rendered unemployed, and that result in a series of negative and positive effects in their lives. The process of labor outsources by local firms is usually as a result of cost minimization with maximization of profits.
