Over the years, there have been concerns about how people are using the environment without worrying about the harm caused to it. Concerned people have merged and spoken against these activities in a bid to stop them. Environmental actions in the US started as early as 1626. The Polymouth set laws regarding the harvesting of timber on colonial lands. Carson wrote a book, in which informed the public about environmental pollution.
