You needed to choose from one of the three cases that were provided in the assignment to write about.
In a 3-5 page paper, you will analyze a business scenario in which you are expected to scrutinize a case study and prepare strategies and tactics that the firm should employ in the future. Your analysis will include relevant background information gathered through the case and additional research, well thought out responses to case questions, and your recommendations for the company. You must use a minimum of 2 outside sources.
Your paper should be professionally formatted and free of errors (punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, capitalization, etc.).
Select one of the attached cases and in your paper:
1. Summarize the situation (high-level overview of the key issues/situation)
2. Answer the case questions, using knowledge and details from the course, your own experiences, with support from the course textbook and outside research.
3. Offer your recommendations related to the situation, with support to justify your position.

Name: Professor’s Name: Course: Date: Case Analysis Summary The case titled More Hassle from HR is one that offers an explanation of an organization whose top and middle management appear to have a failing relationship. Instances of miscommunication also exist between the two, and a growing rift is in the offing. The conversation between Vitorio Nunos and Gary Shaw is one that reveals a lot about Vreeland Pharmaceuticals. The first thing that one sees is their disappointment in some of the decisions being made by the top management. The two are disgruntled and appear to disagree with the top management’s decision to have all managers convene at the headquarters. In their conversation, one learns that the meeting at the headquarters mainly seeks to address issues to do with leadership competencies. However, as both explain, it appears that the top management does not have faith in their managers and a mistake by a section of middle managers prompted the meeting. But as Shaw and Nunos explain, the mistakes of other managers, should not be taken to mean that all managers are negligent. The conversation also reveals something else that appears to be happening in Vreeland. The top management has not been engaging the middle management in crucial decisions. In one instance when Shaw was explaining his side of the story, he remarks that “she’s already decided what she’s going to do, and she’s positive this is the cure-all to prevent any further embarrassment to the company.” This appears to rub both leaders the wrong way and also shows a key issue that the top management could be ignoring. It forces the question of why have the middle managers when all decisions are made by the top management. Another issue that comes up is the fact that top management is not setting a good example for the middle managers. As Shaw and Nunos read the document, both smirk at the low-level of writing in the document they received from HR. This being a high-level meeting, both expected it to be treated with the level of seriousness it deserves. However, this is not the case as the letter reveals. The choice of words is also something that reveals the insensitivity of the top management towards the middle managers. The rift between the two sets of managers is something that could explode and cause the company to implode. Shaw and Nunos appear to express things that could be ignored, but that could cause a great rift in the company. From the conversation, it is almost as if the top management disregards the middle managers and their understanding of the organization and its goals. Last but not least, the two also talk about Vreeland who is the head of the company. However, what they reveal is also shocking as they seem to indicate that he also disregards them and soften sides with Connie instead of giving the managers a chance to speak their minds and forge a universal way forward.
