Students Name: Professor: Institution: Date of submission: AI is the Most Important Political Issue of our Generation Evidently, current political decisions that may affect humanities future are being performed by humans elected on behalf of other humans. But honestly, no one should have that kind of power of control over other people’s lives. A neutral third party should per take in the decision makings and by all means the other party cannot be human. The basic issue in the political decision making of many countries is the divided nature of the two political parties that are dominant. The two parties are convinced of their own stance validity and in this case no productive discussion politically is fostered. The government system should definitely rebrand itself by embracing new technologies wholeheartedly. Millions of people have already entrusted their lives to machine intelligence. This generation can be the one to bridge the gap between the tools of AI that get information that is necessary. One can finally automate their lives to an AI politician that any citizen, digitally skilled can take part in programming. However, question is who can better understand the human problems if not another human? But if it this was the case genuinely; society would have progressed faster but that’s not the case due to the development and political action. Notably, we are being made to admit every day that, the technology sector has over shadowed politics basing on the abilities to solve all societies problem and thus the CivicTech existence. The people in power are way concerned in keeping the obsolete industry continuing so they are reluctant in its innovation because it would threaten their jobs and the power system. Developing an AI politician, a project that has already started, will be a better off idea because it will be able to utilize the data gained from citizens. Politics was meant to be for the people and not a tech machine, but isn’t it too late to keep defending politics? It has failed basically all the generations. It has been provided inordinate power as a monopoly and the gap between the people and politics keeps on widening. Technology can bridge that gap, with the current political system being too rigid and distant in solving modern day problems of society. Notably, with this generation having grown up in a digital age, it can spot and implement fresh infrastructures that are worth the time. This generation can change politics fully and create a new governance system instead of dealing with the existing one. AI is the future of politics as much as it is the future of the world.
